HOPE Group provides services based in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as it is endorsed by a number of state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Surgeon General as an effective treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disorders. Training classes based in ABA are available to new hires, parents, and current employees. The ABA principles and techniques taught throughout the classes can then be implemented in the home to foster basic skill acquisition, and complex skills in order for each individual to live to their fullest potential.
To become an active provider at HOPE Group, a series of new hire training classes must be completed; Provider Workshop, Orientation, Article 9 and First Aid/CPR.
Free trainings are available for parents throughout the month and cover topics that include; Autism 101, Intro to ABA, Balancing Support, Toilet Training, and Verbal Behavior.
In order to maintain highly qualified staff, Hope Group offers and requires many different training classes to current employees. As an active employee you will be paid to take these classes. Training is a fundamental part of being able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, therefore, ACE classes are also provided as approved through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
In compliance with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and Outpatient Treatment Center (OTC) facility requirements, HOPE Group requires all new hire applicants to complete, at a minimum, the classes listed below. Classes are free of charge for all applicants and current employees and may be available to families and non-employees for a small registration fee.
Additionally, HOPE Group offers an array of featured trainings on popular topics. Classes are always free for families and current employees. Current providers will be paid for their attendance.
