The principles of applied behavior analysis give us the ability to successfully understand verbal behavior and train functional communication skills to people with developmental disabilities. During this class, we will discuss the B.F. Skinner’s terminology used to describe verbal behavior, as well as teaching procedures based on the principles of ABA. This approach is commonly used for children who are in the early stages of language development.
